Landscape Design

Initial Site visit

The initial site visit can help to add clarity to how the existing plan can be reorganised to fit the ever changing conditions. Depending on the direction you would like to take, this visit may be as short as one hour or as long as three hours. A site visit helps to determine not only the location and surrounds of the garden, but also get a ‘feel’ for the site, which leads to a more cohesive design.

During the consultation plant choices, soil types colour style combinations may be discussed. At the end of the consultation you will be either given a mud map (or at times a neater version will be drawn up and emailed to you), or a quote for a design or planting plan.

Concept plan

Most clients prefer a number of concept options, depending on their style and functional needs. Usually three concepts are enough to get a good idea of what preferences you have. The concepts can be drawn in 2D and 3D to help give you a spatial idea of what can be achieved.

2D Design plan

This plan is based on the concept plan you preferred and will include the changes we discussed. It may also include a planting schedule, suggested irrigation and lighting plans – however these will need to be further discussed with the installer or preferred professionals (Electrician, plumber etc.)

3d Design plan

This option is ideal for clients looking for a greater visual representation of the proposed design. Like the 2D design plan, this plan is based on the concept plan you preferred and will include the changes we discussed. It may also include a planting schedule, suggested irrigation and lighting plans – however these will need to be further discussed with the installer or preferred professionals (Electrician, plumber etc.)

Construction Plan

Construction plans give details on measurements, materials and building instructions, should they be needed. A construction plan is great for those wishing to construct their gardens themselves. Alternatively, our design plans provide plenty of information for clients looking for a professional to install their garden.

Planting Plan

A planting plan is just that. A plan of what to plant where. This carefully designed plan, based on the existing or pre-designed layout, specifies the location, types and number of plants we would recommend to you.

Maintenance Plan

We are more than happy to draw on our horticultural knowledge and design a personalised maintenance plan for you. The maintenance plan includes information on pruning, planting, watering, feeding, soil conditioners and any other maintenance needs specific to your garden. We also include a quick reference guide, for ease of use!

Horticultural Advice

Our qualified horticulturalists offer on site visits to help you work through any issues you may be experiencing with your garden. We can help identify pests, disease and how to treat them. We can also offer advice on pruning, soil amendments and companion planting.

Consultation

Our qualified staff can come to you to discuss any of your landscaping needs – design, horticultural or otherwise.

During the consultation plant choices, soil types colour style combinations may be discussed. At the end of the consultation you will be either given a mud map (or at times a neater version will be drawn up and emailed to you), or a quote for a design or planting plan.

Project Management

Fox Avenue Studio takes the stress out of managing the project with our project management team, which will help guide you through the process, as well as liaise with contractors, organise timelines and collect and collate quotes.

You will be kept up to date with progress as it happens, as well as consulted with any changes that may need to take place during the process.
